
5. Focus on One Subject at a Time
When there is lack of direction, it becomes easy to jump from
subject to another. We are clueless and take on things in a random
sort of way. This is wrong. When we begin to specialise into one
subject for an allotted period of time, we will find that it becomes
a lot easier for us to fully focus on it, and allow the true
understandings and lessons to be learned. This is the correct way.
Once we start to become bored with one topic, then it is okay to
move to something else, but never
before.
6. Take
Breaks
There are certain do's and don'ts when it comes to break
taking. The reason you take a break is to allow your brain to fully
assimilate the information its just taken on, so that you can move
onto the next task. You do this by stopping your work, and relaxing
your mental activities for 10-15 minutes. It is not an invitation to
spend an hour or longer watching TV and then losing momentum to
study. It is a procedure of self discipline that will allow you just
enough time to fully recuperate mentally and also maintain your
study momentum.

are life skills that you can apply to all aspects of your life,
including business and social activities. The key theme here is
maintaining focus and direction throughout the study session, so
that the changes and lessons will be learned as
easily as desired.
7. Do not
memorise what you need to learn.
You
should instead be learning by understanding the concepts at hand.
This will only happen when you show a genuine interest in the topic
at hand. Of course, if it is formulas and functions which you
have in front of you, it might be better to memorise these first
before attempting to understand them fully.
8. Clearly understand the link between one topic and
the next.
When we understand the links, we
begin to understand how things are put together for
everything in the first place. We therefore increase that
aspect of our mind that understands and recognises
